Spring Break Writing Workshop
Led by Mark Overmeyer | Hosted by LJC Learning, LLC
This Spring Break, give your child the opportunity to step fully into their identity as a writer.
Join published author and Subject Matter Expert Mark Overmeyer, author of What Student Writing Teaches Us and When Writing Workshop Isn’t Working, for an immersive, high-impact writing experience designed for students in grades 5–8.
Whether your child already sees themselves as an author or is just beginning to uncover their writing potential, this workshop provides the structure, mentorship, and inspiration to grow. Over the course of the week, students will explore the foundations of the fantasy genre, learn how to craft compelling scenes, and develop a deeper understanding of the writing process from idea to revision.
Students will leave with:
A strong foundation in fantasy writing elements
A thoughtfully developed scene
Greater confidence and clarity as writers
This is more than a workshop — it’s a space where creativity is taken seriously, voices are strengthened, and young authors are empowered.
Enrollment includes a one-on-one session with Mark after the course has ended at the convenience of the student schedule and need.
